FALL EVENTS


Our events meet rain or shine and range from 1-2 hours. They are slow-paced and stop regularly at points of interest. Helmets are required on all bike rides.

All events FREE and open to everyone!

Lookout on the Past Walk

Walk at your own pace with local history buff Jane McClure to the top of the Highland Park Water Tower. Along the way you’ll be entertained with engaging stories of Highland Park’s past while taking in the sweeping views and crisp smells of fall in St. Paul.

Make Like a Tree & Leaf Ride
Saturday, October 23 @ 10AM

Brewberry’s (Espresso Royale)
475 Fairview Ave S

Get an intimate look at several St. Paul neighborhoods outside of Highland on this easy-going bike ride. We’ll ramble along quiet streets, follow the river’s bend on scenic paths and enjoy hot cocoa and coffee at Trotter’s Café before heading back to Highland.

Halloween Bike Rodeo & Ride
Sunday, October 31 @ 1PM

Bring your little buckaroos on down for a rip-roaring good time before trick-or-treating for the evening. We’ll decorate our bikes, share safety tips to keep kids visible this time of year and then parade our bikes and costumes around the neighborhood. Costumes encouraged (for all ages!)

Icicle Bicycle Workshop

Did you know that dressing too warmly is actually one of the biggest problems with biking in colder weather? We’ll help you shed some layers and your inhibition against biking in the cold! You’ll learn how to find the best routes, put your bike on the bus and how to ride safely in snowy conditions. This is an indoor class.

Celebrating Highland

Join us in celebrating the individual success stories that are the heart of the Smart Trips Highland Park program. This event marks the end of the program, but many new beginnings for the neighborhood. Bring your ideas on how you’d like to make your streets, parks and buildings more bicycle and pedestrian-friendly! We’ll run through a sample project to illustrate how to effectively get things done!
